Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson returned to play against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football after a trip to the hospital, where was evaluated for a chest injury.

Watson left in the second quarter after a defender landed on him as he completed a 53-yard catch. He also appeared to fall hard on the ball. Watson was transported to the hospital in an ambulance and came back in the same vehicle during the third quarter.

The Packers initially listed Watson as questionable when he left, never ruling him out. The 27-year-old had a terrific start to the contest, catching six of seven targets for 100 yards.

Watson entered the game as Green Bay's leading receiver, posting 595 yards and six touchdowns.
