Canucks trade Dakota Joshua to Leafs for 4th-rounder
The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired forward Dakota Joshua from the Vancouver Canucks for a 2028 fourth-round pick, the teams announced Thursday.
Joshua notched seven goals and 14 points in 57 games last season. The 29-year-old missed the start of the campaign after undergoing surgery for testicular cancer.
The 6-foot-3 winger is signed through 2027-28 at a $3.25-million cap hit.
Joshua enjoyed a career year in 2023-24 with the Canucks, recording 18 goals, 32 points, and 245 hits in 63 games. He also added four goals and eight points in 13 playoff contests.
The Michigan native was originally drafted by Toronto 128th overall in 2014. The Maple Leafs traded Joshua's rights to the St. Louis Blues for future considerations after he concluded his collegiate career at Ohio State.
Joshua has notched 40 goals and 78 points in 241 career games over parts of five seasons between the Blues and Canucks.
