Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi is out indefinitely because of complications from an offseason surgery, the team announced Monday.
The surgery was related to an issue he played through during the season. Domi will be re-evaluated when training camp opens in September.
Domi appeared in 80 games as Toronto stumbled to a 28th-place finish. He notched 12 goals and 24 assists while averaging nearly 15 minutes per contest.
He's under contract with the Maple Leafs through 2028 at a cap hit of $3.75 million.
