The Montreal Canadiens rewarded head coach Martin St. Louis with a multi-year contract extension on Monday.
The deal runs through the 2029-30 season, according to The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun.
"Marty has done a terrific job leading our young team," general manager Kent Hughes said in a statement. "He is a great communicator and teacher. We look forward to his continued efforts to mold this group into a championship-caliber team."
Montreal hired St. Louis as its interim head coach in February 2022, and he took the job on a permanent basis the following season. He's overseen an impressive turnaround for the Canadiens, who've improved their point total each campaign under St. Louis.
The Habs made the playoffs the past two years and reached the Eastern Conference Final this past spring after finishing the regular season with 106 points.
