The Ottawa Senators acquired goaltender Jonas Johansson from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for future considerations, the team announced Friday.
Johansson spent the past three seasons with the Lightning as Andrei Vasilevskiy's backup.
The Swede went 11-10-2 with a 3.29 goals-against average and an .884 save percentage during the 2025-26 campaign.
Johansson gives the Senators an experienced option between the pipes behind Linus Ullmark.
The 31-year-old, who's on an expiring contract, replaces Leevi Merilainen as the team's third goaltender after the Vancouver Canucks claimed the latter off waivers earlier Friday.
Johansson will carry a $25,000 cap hit while in the minors, per PuckPedia.
The Buffalo Sabres selected Johansson with the 61st overall pick in the 2014 draft.
