World No. 1 Dustin Johnson won the PGA Tour Player of the Year honor Monday.

Scottie Scheffler was also named this season's top rookie.

Johnson claimed his first-ever FedEx Cup last season. The 36-year-old also moved into 27th on the all-time wins list after finding the winner's circle at the Travelers Championship, The Northern Trust, and the Tour Championship.

Additionally, Johnson joined legends Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, and Arnold Palmer as just the fourth player to record a win in each of his first 13 seasons.

Scheffler finished fifth in the FedEx Cup playoffs in his first season on Tour. He also earned seven top-10 finishes, including six in the top five. The highlight of Scheffler's campaign came at The Northern Trust when he fired a dominant second-round 59 to become the 11th different player in PGA Tour history to submit a sub-60 card.

The 24-year-old also earned last year's Korn Ferry Tour Player of the Year honor.
