Report: Koepka applies for PGA TOUR reinstatement

Brooks Koepka applied for reinstatement to the PGA TOUR on Friday, sources told ESPN's Mark Schlabach.

The five-time major champion announced his departure from LIV Golf on Dec. 23, citing family needs and prioritizing being closer to home.

He last competed on TOUR in March 2022 before defecting to the Saudi-backed circuit. Koepka won the 2023 PGA Championship and collected five additional victories as a LIV player.

It's unclear what his reinstatement process may entail. Sources told Schlabach that the decision will include "thoughtful input from the board, including player directors."

Koepka's currently eligible to play in all four majors this season.
