Mystics add Citron with 3rd pick in WNBA draft

The Washington Mystics drafted Notre Dame guard Sonia Citron with the third pick in the WNBA draft Monday.
The franchise also added USC forward Kiki Iriafen with the fourth pick and Kentucky guard Georgia Amoore with the sixth selection.
Citron averaged 14.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in her senior season at Notre Dame.
The Mystics acquired the third pick from the Chicago Sky for a package including two-time All-Star Ariel Atkins.
Washington finished with a 14-26 record and parted ways with head coach Eric Thibault after two seasons. Former Sky assistant Sydney Johnson was hired to fill the vacancy.
