Minnesota Twins third baseman Josh Donaldson was tossed from Thursday's game against the Chicago White Sox for kicking dirt on home plate after hitting a round-tripper in the sixth inning.
Donaldson was upset with home plate umpire Dan Bellino after a questionable strike call on a 2-0 pitch during the at-bat.
The ejection was Donaldson's seventh of his 10-year career.
The 34-year-old slugger is the first player to be ejected at home plate after hitting a homer since Ted Simmons in May 1978.
