Cleveland Indians star third baseman Jose Ramirez doesn't appear to be interested in playing for another team.

Ramirez would like to stay with the soon-to-be Guardians for the rest of his career, sources told Zack Meisel of The Athletic.

Cleveland's front office reportedly wants to keep the three-time AL MVP finalist for the long haul, and extension negotiations are expected to take place before the next campaign starts.

Ramirez, who's owed $12 million in 2022 and $14 million in 2023 on two team options, has amassed a career .855 OPS with 163 home runs, 154 stolen bases, and 540 RBIs over nine years in Cleveland. No batter in baseball has accrued a higher fWAR (9.8) over the last two seasons than the Dominican star.

The 29-year-old's name has also surfaced in trade talks. The Toronto Blue Jays reportedly made a run at acquiring Ramirez during this season's trade deadline.
