Minnesota Twins right-hander Chris Paddack had season-ending Tommy John surgery, the team announced Wednesday, according to Dan Hayes of The Athletic.
Paddack also underwent the same procedure when he was a member of the San Diego Padres organization in 2016.
The 26-year-old hasn't pitched since leaving a start on May 8 with an injury.
Paddack posted a 4.03 ERA over five starts (22 1/3 innings) during the 2022 campaign. The Padres traded him to the Twins in early April in a deal that included closer Taylor Rogers.
