New York Mets outfielder Jesse Winker has been busy delivering big hits in the NLDS against the Philadelphia Phillies, but he still hasn't forgotten about his rift with the Milwaukee Brewers from the wild-card series.
"As far as Milwaukee goes, I'll hate them forever," Winker said before hitting a home run in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Phillies, according to the New York Post's Mark W. Sanchez.
Winker's hatred toward the Brewers comes after he had a career-worst season with them in 2023, which led to him being booed by Milwaukee fans during a playoff game that same year.
The veteran outfielder carried that animosity into this season's wild-card series with the Brewers, where he got into a heated exchange with Milwaukee shortstop Willy Adames. Adames said after that exchange he told Winker to meet him in the parking lot following the game.

Winker has performed well during the 2024 postseason against both the Brewers and Phillies, posting a 1.240 OPS with a homer, three RBIs, and three runs scored.
