Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Gavin Stone underwent shoulder surgery on Oct. 9 and will likely miss the entire 2025 season, the team announced.
Stone last appeared in a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Aug. 31, allowing five earned runs and two homers in five innings of work. He was placed on the 15-day injured list with shoulder inflammation a week later.
The 25-year-old said in mid-September he was hopeful he'd be available for the Dodgers' postseason run, but Los Angeles transferred him to the 60-day IL on Sept. 24.
Stone was one of the Dodgers' most reliable starters this season, authoring an 11-5 record with a 3.53 ERA in 140 1/3 innings.
Stone is the latest Dodgers starter to be sidelined by injury, joining Tyler Glasnow, Clayton Kershaw, Tony Gonsolin, Dustin May, Emmet Sheehan, and River Ryan.
