Rockies add Farmer on 1-year deal reportedly worth $3.25M
The Colorado Rockies agreed to a one-year contract with infielder Kyle Farmer, the club announced Saturday.
Farmer's pact is worth $3.25 million but can go up to $4.5 million with incentives, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.
The deal also includes a $4-million mutual option in 2026.
Kyle Farmer gets a $2.5 million salary from the Rockies in 2025 and a $4 million mutual option for 2026 with $750,000 buyout, making it a $3.25 million total guarantee, per source.

The 34-year-old spent the past two seasons with the Minnesota Twins, slashing .240/.308/.387 with 16 home runs, 27 doubles, and 71 RBIs in 227 games.
Farmer has played seven different positions throughout his career, including pitcher and catcher, with most of his reps coming at shortstop and second base. He could form a double-play combination in Colorado's infield with Ezequiel Tovar after the Rockies non-tendered Brendan Rodgers on Friday.
The eight-year veteran began his career with the Los Angeles Dodgers before stints with the Cincinnati Reds and Twins.
