The Chicago White Sox are looking for a meaningful return in trade talks centered around outfielder Luis Robert Jr., a source told The Athletic's Will Sammon, Katie Woo, and Ken Rosenthal.

The White Sox want a legitimate piece in exchange for Robert and aren't seeking multiple prospects in a deal, report Sammon, Woo, and Rosenthal.

Robert slumped through the worst offensive season of his career in 2024, hitting 14 home runs with 35 RBIs, 23 stolen bases, and an 84 wRC+ across 100 games.

The 27-year-old has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career, appearing in 100 or more contests twice. He missed time last season due to a right hip flexor strain.

Robert is scheduled to make $15 million in 2025. His contract also includes $20-million club options for 2026 and 2027.
