All-Star left-hander Max Fried is expected to pick his next team by Thursday, sources told Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

The New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, and Toronto Blue Jays are reportedly pursuing Fried, as all three clubs have met with the pitcher this offseason.

Fried has at least one seven-year offer on the table, a source told Jon Morosi of MLB Network.

New York is willing to make a seven-year offer as well, Morosi reports.

The Yankees are "all over" the 30-year-old hurler after losing the bidding war for Juan Soto to the New York Mets, a source told Rosenthal.

Boston and Toronto are also looking to make a splash after failing to land Soto, Rosenthal notes.

The Texas Rangers are reportedly interested in Fried, but their ability to sign him could be impacted by Diamond Sports Group dropping the club's TV broadcasts for 2025.

A few officials from East Coast teams are concerned the Southern California native may want to play on the West Coast, according to Rosenthal, who adds sources told him the San Francisco Giants aren't a finalist for the pitcher.

Fried posted a 3.25 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 8.6 K/9 across 174 1/3 innings (29 starts) with the Atlanta Braves last season. He's also a three-time Gold Glover and won a World Series in 2021.
