Blue Jays' Guerrero exits with hamstring tightness

Toronto Blue Jays star first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. departed Tuesday's game against the Washington Nationals due to right hamstring tightness, the team announced.

Guerrero was seen wincing while rounding first base after hitting a single in the third inning. He didn't come out to play defense in the fourth.

The six-time All-Star has battled back issues this season, but he's never been on the injured list over his eight-year career.

After leading the Blue Jays to the World Series last year, Guerrero has hit only six homers with 44 RBIs and a .702 OPS over 103 games during an underwhelming 2026 campaign.
