The Los Angeles Dodgers are setting their rotation for the National League Championship Series as they attempt to reach a third straight Fall Classic.
Two-time Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal will start Sunday's Game 1 against the Milwaukee Brewers, while reigning World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto gets the ball Monday for Game 2, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic.
Skubal owns a career 1.97 ERA with 63 strikeouts over 45 2/3 innings in the playoffs. Yamamoto has authored a 2.14 ERA with 58 strikeouts across 63 postseason innings over his three-year career.
The Brewers are expected to counter with NL Cy Young favorite Jacob Misiorowski for the series opener at American Family Field. Right-hander Logan Henderson will likely toe the rubber in the second contest.
The Dodgers also have two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell and right-hander Tyler Glasnow potentially available for starts beyond Game 2.
Los Angeles and Milwaukee meet in a rematch of the 2025 NLCS. The Dodgers swept the Brewers en route to eventually winning their second straight World Series.
