The Utah Jazz traded into the draft lottery, but it cost them their 2015 lottery pick.
The Jazz dealt 21-year-old power forward Trey Lyles and the No. 24 pick in Thursday's draft to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for the No. 13 selection.
The Nuggets drafted Louisville guard Donovan Mitchell on the Jazz's behalf.
Lyles had a promising rookie season in Utah, but failed to progress in his sophomore campaign, averaging virtually identical numbers of 6.2 points and 3.3 rebounds, while seeing his field-goal percentage dip from 43.8 to 36.2, and his 3-point percentage fall from 38.3 to 31.9.
