Report: NBA owners won't vote on season return on Friday's league call

NBA commissioner Adam Silver has informed teams that there will not be a formal vote on any plan to resume the 2019-20 season during Friday's scheduled conference call with the league's board of governors, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

There appears to be growing momentum toward a return to play. On Saturday, the NBA confirmed it had held exploratory talks about finishing the season at the Walt Disney World Resort's ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando.

On Wednesday, ESPN's Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne reported that the league and the National Basketball Players Association were making progress on a framework that would allow some players' family members to join them within the bubble environment at a certain stage - likely after a number of teams have been eliminated from postseason contention.
