Milwaukee Bucks guard Donte DiVincenzo will make his season debut when the reigning NBA champs host the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
DiVincenzo, 24, had surgery in June to repair a torn ligament in his left ankle suffered during Game 3 of the Bucks' first-round playoff series against the Miami Heat.
It was initially anticipated that the Villanova product could miss the first half of the season. Wednesday's visit from Indiana marks Milwaukee's 30th contest on its schedule.
DiVincenzo was a vital piece of Mike Budenholzer's rotation during the 2020-21 campaign, starting 66 of the team's 72 regular-season contests. He averaged 10.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 27.5 minutes per outing.
