Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant was ruled out for Game 4 versus the Golden State Warriors due to right knee soreness, the team announced before the contest, per ESPN's Marc J. Spears.

The third-year phenom exited Saturday's loss after Warriors guard Jordan Poole made contact with his knee while attempting to guard him.

After the game, Morant appeared to imply that it was a dirty play, tweeting "broke the code," a reference to comments made by Warriors coach Steve Kerr after Game 2. The post was later deleted.

For his part, Poole denied any malicious intent, labeling the sequence a "basketball play."

Morant has averaged 27.1 points, 9.8 assists, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals in 37.5 minutes per game in the playoffs so far, including 47 points in the Grizzlies' Game 2 win versus the Warriors.

The Warriors led the series 2-1 entering Monday's matchup.
