Dubs stars can't help but laugh at 'Whoop That Trick' counter-taunt
This, of course, was a shot at the song by Memphis rap group 3-6 Mafia, which has become a rallying cry for this year's Grizzlies.
Even with Ja Morant doubtful to return this postseason due to a bone bruise in his right knee, the Warriors never led in what was a possible series-clinching game en route to a blowout 134-95 road loss.
With the Warriors down by as many as 55 points midway through the third quarter, it was the Grizzlies game operations team's turn to twist the knife:
Curry, who finished with 14 points on 4-of-10 shooting, seemed to take the jeering chorus in stride, while teammate Draymond Green briefly joined Memphis' dance crew by jubilantly whipping his towel around his head as well.
For his part, Green didn't mind the opposing crowd having fun at the Warriors' expense.
"They not gonna 'Whoop That Trick' alone. We’re gonna 'Whoop That Trick' together," Green said postgame, according to the Daily Memphian's Chris Herrington. "One thing I don’t respect is people who only engage the crowd when they’re winning. I call those people front-runners. I appreciated the crowd tonight."
