Paul to return from hand injury after 7-week absence
Golden State Warriors guard Chris Paul is listed as available to play on Tuesday versus the Washington Wizards after missing more than seven weeks with a hand injury, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Paul has been out of the lineup since suffering a fracture on Jan. 5 against the Detroit Pistons. He was initially expected to miss four-to-six weeks.
The Warriors have found a groove recently, winning 10 of their last 13 games to surge past the .500 mark. Paul, a 12-time All-Star, was coming off the bench before his injury, averaging 8.9 points and 7.2 assists in 27.6 minutes per game.
The Warriors will open a four-game road trip against the Wizards. They'll face the New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors, and Boston Celtics before returning home.
