The NBA postponed Saturday's game between the Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks due to severe weather and icy conditions in the Atlanta area.

The game was slated to begin at 3 p.m. ET but will be rescheduled for a later date.

Several states in the southern U.S., including Georgia, were hit by a winter storm in recent days that brought heavy snow and freezing rain. Over 900 flights were canceled at Atlanta's airport alone Friday, according to AccuWeather's Brian Lada.

It's the third postponed matchup of Saturday's NBA schedule; the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers had their home games against the San Antonio Spurs and Charlotte Hornets, respectively, called off due to the wildfires in the L.A. area. The Lakers' contest against the Hornets on Thursday was also canceled. All three are yet to be rescheduled.

The Hawks don't play again until Tuesday when they host the Phoenix Suns. The Rockets will return to Houston to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.
