The Memphis Grizzlies stunned the Golden State Warriors with a 17-0 run in the final four minutes Friday, turning a 12-point deficit into an improbable three-point win in San Francisco.
"Eight different things had to happen," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said after the 111-108 loss, per Anthony Slater of ESPN. "If any one of those eight doesn't happen, I think we win. It was just an avalanche."
Former Warrior Ty Jerome led Memphis with 28 points on 11-of-22 shooting to go with five assists, while second overall pick Cameron Boozer finished with 25 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, and two steals. The former Duke star saved his best contribution for last, driving into guard Brandin Podziemski on a glaring mismatch and spinning into a game-winning floater from just inside the paint with 20 seconds left.

Golden State held its biggest lead of the contest with 3:47 to play after De'Anthony Melton hit a 3-pointer to push it up 106-94. However, the Grizzlies responded on the next possession, with third-year guard Jaylen Wells draining a three while getting fouled by star Stephen Curry.
The Warriors then missed their next eight field-goal attempts, as Memphis quickly closed the gap. Curry missed four of those, including a three-point attempt blocked by 7-foot-3 center Zach Edey with 1:10 left in a one-point game.
Curry, 38, scored 24 points and added four assists but went 1-of-5 from deep in the fourth.
"Pretty much everything went wrong," Curry said.
The shocking collapse dropped the Warriors to 0-2 following a 22-point loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in their season opener Wednesday.
