Bengals' Higgins expected to play vs. Chargers after 3-game absence
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is expected to return Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers, head coach Zac Taylor told reporters Friday, including ESPN's Ben Baby.
Higgins missed the past three games due to a quadriceps injury, with the Bengals going 1-2 in that span. He wasn't listed on the injury report released later Friday.
The 25-year-old has missed as many contests as he's played in this season. In addition to the three games he was sidelined due to a quad injury, he also missed the first two weeks of the year with a hamstring issue.
Higgins has caught 29 passes for 341 yards and three touchdowns over five games. He's playing the season on the franchise tag.
Taylor didn't provide an update on the status of offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr., who was listed as questionable with a knee/fibula injury.
