The Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, and San Francisco 49ers are among the teams that called the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to check on the availability of defensive tackle Vita Vea, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports.
However, the Buccaneers maintain no interest in dealing Vea, who requested a trade in July after unsuccessful contract extension negotiations. The two sides have been communicating, but a deal is not imminent, Garafolo adds.
Vea reportedly favors a move to 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, or Las Vegas Raiders if he's moved.
The 31-year-old is entering the final year of his contract. He is slated to earn a base salary of $17 million in 2026, though he has no guaranteed money remaining, per Over the Cap.
Drafted in the first round in 2018 by the Bucs, Vea has totaled 35 sacks and two Pro Bowl invites.
