Maxx Crosby told the Los Angeles Rams and other interested teams that he wanted to remain with the Las Vegas Raiders after the deal that would've sent him to the Baltimore Ravens collapsed, sources told ESPN's Ian Rapoport.
The Rams were the club making the strongest push to trade for Crosby, sources told Rapoport, but the defensive end made it known that he didn't want to leave Las Vegas. Other teams that were reportedly interested included the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and San Francisco 49ers.
The Ravens and Raiders agreed in March to a trade that would've sent Crosby to Baltimore for two first-round picks. However, the Ravens backed out a few days later over medical concerns about his knee after he underwent a physical.
"I'm a Raider. I'm back. Run that s--t," Crosby posted on social media shortly after the trade fell through.
Following the nixed trade, teams tried to acquire Crosby at a discount and never came close to Las Vegas' asking price, sources told Rapoport. The Rams turned their sights to Myles Garrett, sending multiple draft picks and Jared Verse to the Cleveland Browns to land the star edge rusher.
Crosby is reportedly fully healthy heading into the Raiders' season opener. He's coming off a 2025 campaign in which he posted 53 pressures, 22 quarterback hits, and 10 sacks.
The 29-year-old has been one of the most productive edge rushers in the league over the last few seasons. Since 2022, he's ranked fifth in quarterback hits (106) and seventh in pressures (282), according to TruMedia.
Las Vegas kicks off its season against the Miami Dolphins at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday.
