The Baltimore Ravens will start undrafted rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano for Thursday night's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, head coach Jesse Minter announced Tuesday.
Fagnano, who is typically the Ravens' third-string quarterback, has been pressed into starting duty by injuries to Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley. Jackson is set to undergo thumb surgery, while Huntley is dealing with turf toe.
However, Fagnano is battling an ankle injury. He was seen wearing a brace on his right foot in Tuesday's practice.

Fagnano entered Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills after both Jackson and Huntley exited. He completed 10 of his 21 passes for 91 yards, an interception, and no touchdowns.
The Ravens signed quarterback Kedon Slovis to their 53-man roster off the Green Bay Packers' practice squad earlier Tuesday.
The Ravens also placed kicker Tyler Loop on injured reserve due to a groin injury, sidelining him for at least the next four games. Loop has converted 13 of his 17 field-goal attempts this season.
Baltimore is 4-4 after losing three games in a row.
