Lundell: Marchand's goal the kind you watch 'on YouTube when you're a kid'
Florida Panthers forward Anton Lundell is accustomed to life with Brad Marchand after being linemates for over two months, but even he was blown away by the veteran winger's second goal Saturday night.
"Those are the goals you look (up) on YouTube when you're a kid and try to go out and practice yourself," Lundell said after Florida's 5-2 Game 5 victory. "We're all pretty amazed by him."
The Panthers held a 2-0 lead after 40 minutes, but they saved the fireworks for the third period. Just over five minutes into the frame, Marchand stormed into Edmonton Oilers territory, got around Jake Walman by tucking the puck under the rearguard's stick, and then went five-hole on Calvin Pickard on his backhand.

The highlight-reel tally stood as the game-winner, and it was also Marchand's sixth goal of the series. He's the first NHL player to score five-plus goals in multiple Stanley Cup Finals with two different teams after he buried five with the Boston Bruins in 2011, per NHL PR.
When asked what a younger Marchand would say about his current self, the 37-year-old was as wry as ever.
"Man, that guy's good-looking. Would probably be it," he said. "It's just how it plays out sometimes. Sometimes you get bounces, sometimes you don't. Definitely, he'd be grateful to be in this opportunity and have another opportunity to be in the Final and be part of a really good team, for sure."
Florida's third line of Marchand, Lundell, and Eetu Luostarinen has been outstanding all postseason long. The Panthers have outscored opponents 13-3 with the trio on the ice at five-on-five while dictating 55.6% of the expected goals and 54.4% of the scoring chances, according to Natural Stat Trick.
Lundell has recorded the primary assist on six of Marchand's 10 goals this postseason, while Luostarinen has been credited with a helper on four of them.
"They've been a massive part of our success this year," forward Sam Bennett said. "They've been incredible. Adding Marchy to that line just really brought them to another level. They can do everything. PK, they play on the power play, they can shut down guys, they can go score big goals.
"It's an understatement to say that they've been big for us."
Bennett and Marchand are the sixth set of teammates to each score at least five goals in the same Stanley Cup Final and the first since Yvan Cournoyer and Frank Mahovlich in 1973.
The Panthers will have the chance to repeat as Stanley Cup champions during Game 6 on Tuesday.
"It's a great opportunity," Bennett said. "We're not going to get ahead of ourselves. It's gonna be the hardest game, and I think we know that."
