Chicago Blackhawks star Connor Bedard suffered an apparent injury during an on-ice training session Thursday.

Video of the incident shows Bedard exiting the playing surface while clutching his left arm after a fall near the end boards.

A Blackhawks spokesperson told The Athletic's Mark Lazerus and Scott Powers that the club doesn't have a definitive update on Bedard and official word could come Monday.

Bedard missed nearly four weeks last season with a right shoulder injury suffered during a faceoff play. The ailment interrupted the most productive stretch of his young career, as he posted 44 points in 31 games before being sidelined.

The soon-to-be 21-year-old ended the year with 75 points in 69 appearances, but the Blackhawks finished 31st in the league standings with a 29-39-14 record.

Bedard is a restricted free agent in need of a new deal upon the expiration of his entry-level contract. Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson said Wednesday that there's no update on negotiations, per NHL.com's Tracey Myers.
