Texas Rangers outfielder Joey Gallo has tested positive for COVID-19, according to TR Sullivan of MLB.com.

Gallo is asymptomatic and told the Rangers he's feeling good, Sullivan adds.

The All-Star slugger joins the likes of MLB players Freddie Freeman, Salvador Perez, Miguel Sano, and DJ LeMahieu, who also tested positive over the last few days.

Gallo first tested on June 27 and he still needs to record two negative tests before he can return to the Rangers' camp, according to Sullivan.

The 26-year-old went deep 22 times in 70 contests during the 2019 campaign after clobbering 40-plus homers in back-to-back seasons between 2017 and 2018.
