The St. Louis Cardinals announced Thursday that they're calling up top prospects Nolan Gorman and Matthew Liberatore while placing outfielder Tyler O'Neill on the injured list, according to Katie Woo of The Athletic.
Gorman - the club's No. 2-ranked prospect, per MLB Pipeline - will start for the Cardinals at second base Friday. Liberatore, who's the top pitching prospect and No. 3 overall in the organization, will make his MLB debut Saturday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
