The Chicago Cubs placed outfielder Cody Bellinger on the 10-day injured list with a fractured rib, the club announced Wednesday.
Bellinger technically has two cracked ribs on his right side following a CT scan, according to Jesse Rogers of ESPN.
Top prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong was recalled from Triple-A Iowa in a corresponding move.
Manager Craig Counsell didn't provide a timetable for when Bellinger might return, according to 670 The Score's "Parkins & Spiegel Show."
Bellinger left Tuesday's game against the Houston Astros shortly after slamming into Wrigley Field's brick outfield wall while attempting to make a catch.

The Cubs originally called his injury a rib contusion. Bellinger said postgame he was feeling "a very dull pain," according to Marquee Sports.
The former NL MVP put up a .226/.320/.440 slash line with five homers and 17 RBIs through his first 22 games of 2024. Bellinger, last year's NL Comeback Player of the Year, re-signed with the Cubs on a three-year, $80-million contract with a pair of opt-outs in February.
Crow-Armstrong, 22, posted a .633 OPS with two homers in 83 plate appearances with Iowa this year. He failed to record a hit in 13 games with the Cubs last summer.
