The Toronto Blue Jays traded relief pitcher Tommy Nance and international bonus pool money to the Minnesota Twins for prospect Ryan Sprock, the teams announced Friday.
Nance owns a 3.82 ERA and a 1.273 WHIP with 34 strikeouts in 33 innings this season. The right-hander has been extremely effective against right-handed batters, limiting them to a .159/.205/.261 slash line.
The 35-year-old enjoyed a career year in 2025, helping the Blue Jays win the American League East with a 1.99 ERA across 31.2 innings.
Nance is under team control until 2030.
The Blue Jays reinstated right-hander Braydon Fisher from the bereavement list to fill Nance's vacated roster spot.
Sprock, Minnesota's eighth-round selection out of Elon University last summer, has hit .297/.427/.428 with five home runs, 38 RBIs, and 14 stolen bases over 67 minor-league games this season, primarily with Low-A Fort Myers. He played two games with the Twins' High-A affiliate after being promoted Monday.
The 21-year-old is a versatile player, having split time between catcher, third base, and left field during his two-year professional career.
