The Pittsburgh Pirates placed first baseman/outfielder Ryan O'Hearn on the 10-day injured list with a strained left quad, the team announced Saturday.
O'Hearn's recovery timeline is estimated at six-to-eight weeks.
The 33-year-old needed to be assisted off the field by manager Don Kelly and a member of the Pirates' training staff after he came up limping in the ninth inning of Friday's game while trying to beat a throw to first base.
Just when you thought tonight couldn't get any worse.

O'Hearn's loss is a big one for the Pirates, who are contending for a playoff spot. The slugger owns a .270/.334/.454 slash line with 17 homers and 69 RBIs and has been a big part of Pittsburgh's clubhouse.
"It's really hard. I was pretty emotional about it, honestly," infielder Nick Gonzales said after Friday's game, according to MLB.com's Aiden Stepansky. "That's a big-time player on our team but also a leader. I love that guy to death and feel really bad for him. Feel really bad for the team for losing him and everything. But it's really unfortunate. He's one of my best friends on this team, and it's really tough to see that."
