Dolidze replaces Ulberg, will fight Smith at UFC 303
One of the main UFC 303 fights is undergoing yet another change.
Carlos Ulberg is out of his light heavyweight bout against Anthony Smith on the June 29 card in Las Vegas and has been replaced by middleweight Roman Dolidze, the UFC announced Friday.
Ulberg withdrew due to a knee injury, according to MMA reporter Ariel Helwani.
Smith agreed to face Ulberg just last week, replacing an injured Jamahal Hill.
Hill was originally scheduled to fight Khalil Rountree Jr., who became unavailable after unintentionally taking a banned substance in a supplement.
The 35-year-old Smith - the UFC's 10th-ranked light heavyweight - submitted Vitor Petrino in his latest fight at UFC 301 in May. He's won two of his last three bouts.
Dolidze is ranked No. 10 in the 185-pound division. The Georgian fighter has dropped two straight losses, including a main-event defeat to Nassourdine Imavov in February.
UFC 303 was originally headlined by a highly anticipated fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler, but the Irishman had to drop out of the card due to injury. The promotion then scheduled a light heavyweight title rematch between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka as the new main event.
