Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell missed Wednesday's do-or-die Game 5 against the Boston Celtics due to a calf strain.
Mitchell was also absent for the team's 109-102 Game 4 loss Monday.
Along with the five-time All-Star, the Cavs are without Jarrett Allen (rib) and Caris LeVert (knee). LeVert started the Game 4 defeat in Mitchell's place, while Allen has missed eight straight playoff contests.
Mitchell is Cleveland's leading scorer in the postseason, averaging 29.6 points in 10 playoff games. He suffered the injury toward the end of Game 3.
The Celtics would be the first team in the NBA to qualify for a conference finals berth with a victory Wednesday.
