The Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, and Toronto Raptors are expected to be suitors for Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

The Mavs are open to exploring the trade market for Davis, as well as Daniel Gafford, Klay Thompson, and D'Angelo Russell, adds Charania.

Davis' agent, Rich Paul, met with Dallas interim co-general managers Michael Finley and Matt Riccardi to seek clarity on the franchise's long-term plan with the 10-time All-Star, according to Charania.

Finley and Riccardi aren't ruling out an extension with Davis, but are keeping their options open as they gauge the team's play over the next few weeks, adds Charania.

The Mavs acquired Davis from the Los Angeles Lakers last February as part of the stunning Luka Doncic trade.

Davis has made just 19 appearances for Dallas, averaging 19.8 points, 10.2 boards, 3.8 assists, and 1.9 blocks. The 32-year-old will become eligible to sign a four-year, $275-million max contract extension on Aug. 6.

Davis is under contract through at least 2026-27 and holds a $62.8-million player option for the following campaign.
