Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams are already having fun as members of the New York Jets.

Adams - who was dealt to the Jets after requesting a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders - crashed Rodgers' weekly appearance on the "Pat McAfee Show" on Tuesday hours after news broke about the receiver joining New York.

"He's a proven star player," Rodgers said of Adams on Tuesday. "He's an asset, an incredible locker-room presence. I think it's really going to help Garrett (Wilson) out."

The four-time NFL MVP added: "Especially in the first four or five weeks, Garrett was facing doubles on normal-down distance so often. Now you're gonna have to choose."

Adams can't wait to get back on the field with Rodgers. The six-time Pro Bowl wideout missed his last three games with the Raiders due to a hamstring injury but suggested Tuesday that he'll be able to make his Jets debut against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7.

"We're back, man," said Adams.

"I'm feeling great," he added. "Fortunately, I'll be ready to roll."

Rodgers said he talked to Adams and heard the trade news around 12:45 a.m. ET after a Monday Night Football loss to the Buffalo Bills. With Adams in the mix, Rodgers expects the Jets players to step up as the team tries to bounce back after starting the season 2-4.

"This move lets everybody know, 'Hey, it's on us now,'" Rodgers said. "Because we're going all-in, and it's our time to go out there and win games."

New York named Jeff Ulbrich interim coach after Johnson stunningly fired Robert Saleh last week.
