Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud suffered a concussion during Sunday's 18-15 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Stroud took a hit to the midsection, but hit his head the ground at the end of a scramble during the second quarter.

Broncos cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine was initially flagged for unnecessary roughness on the play, but the call was overturned when officials said he didn't make contact with Stroud's head or neck.

Stroud completed 6 of 10 passes for 79 yards and carried the ball twice for 12 yards before exiting the matchup. Davis Mills replaced the injured Stroud, finishing with 137 passing yards.

The Texans led the Broncos 15-7 entering the fourth quarter but weren't able to hold on, allowing 11 unanswered points in the final frame.
