The Los Angeles Rams explored the possibility of trading Davante Adams in the event they were able to acquire A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles, a source told Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.

The Rams reportedly pushed hard to acquire the star receiver in the first week of free agency but came up empty as the Eagles elected to hold onto him.

Adams joined the Rams as a free agent last year and has one campaign and $18 million left on his contract.

The 34-year-old led the NFL with 14 touchdown receptions in 2025, though his 789 yards marked his lowest output since 2019, when he was limited to 12 games. Adams also battled a hamstring injury that cost him three contests at the end of his first season in Los Angeles.

Brown, meanwhile, posted 1,003 receiving yards and seven touchdowns despite frustrations over the Eagles' offensive struggles. Brown, who turns 29 over the summer, has seen his receiving numbers decline each campaign since his 1,496-yard debut season with the Eagles in 2022.

The Rams' offense ranked No. 1 in both yards and points last season while featuring Adams and Puka Nacua in the passing attack. Los Angeles reached the NFC Championship Game before falling to the eventual champion Seattle Seahawks.
